Job description

Paid Media Specialist / Sr. Paid Media Specialist
Growth & Lifecycle Marketing | Full-Time, Exempt | Reports to Director of Growth & Lifecycle Marketing
Own the paid channels that turn ad dollars into subscribers.
Company Seeking.com (Reflex Media)
Location Remote (US).
Compensation $70,000 to $120,000 base, commensurate with experience and level
Travel Required for team meetings, offsites, shoots, and project needs
About the Role
Seeking.com is the world's largest premium dating platform, and we are entering the most important chapter of our brand transformation. We are looking for a Paid Media Specialist to own paid acquisition end-to-end as a hands-on operator across Google, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and any new channel worth opening.
This role is open at two levels: Paid Media Specialist and Sr. Paid Media Specialist. Level and placement in the salary band are determined by experience, demonstrated ownership of large budgets, and depth in the platforms and measurement stack outlined below. The role is the same shape at both levels; the Senior level carries broader scope, more autonomy, and higher expectations on strategy and mentorship.
This role may also be a fit for candidates whose current title is Digital Media Buyer, Media Buyer, Sr. Media Buyer, Performance Marketing Specialist, Paid Acquisition Specialist, Growth Marketing Specialist, Paid Search Specialist, Paid Social Specialist, Performance Media Specialist, Digital Advertising Specialist, or SEM/Paid Media Specialist. If your day-to-day is buying, optimizing, and measuring paid campaigns for a consumer brand, you should apply regardless of your current title.
You will build the campaigns, structure the accounts, ship the ads, read the numbers, and rewrite the plan by Friday. You will report to the Director of Growth & Lifecycle Marketing and partner closely with Creative, Data & Analytics, Product, and Lifecycle.
We are looking for a builder who can log into every ad platform in week one, identify the wasted spend and the missed opportunities, and ship a better-structured campaign by Friday.
What You'll Own
Campaign Build, Optimization & Budget Management
  • Own the day-to-day build and management of paid campaigns across Google Ads (Search, PMax, Demand Gen, YouTube), Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and any additional platforms worth testing.
  • Structure accounts for scale: campaign taxonomy, ad-group logic, audience layers, bidding strategy, naming conventions, and asset organization.
  • Perform daily optimization across every active account: bid adjustments, negatives, audience pruning, budget reallocation, and creative rotation to hold or improve target CPA, ROAS, and payback.
  • Manage monthly spend at the $250K+ level with the discipline to scale up when performance holds and pull back before CPA breaks.
  • Deploy advanced bidding strategies (tCPA, tROAS, Advantage+, PMax, value-based) with a clear point of view on when to let the machine run and when to override it.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with ad platform reps: secure beta access, resolve policy escalations, unlock account suspensions quickly.

Tracking, Attribution & Analytics
  • Own end-to-end event tracking and conversion setup across GTM, GA4, server-side infrastructure, MMP/attribution tools (Datahash, PostHog, or similar), and platform pixels/CAPIs.
  • Enforce tracking discipline: clean UTMs, correct conversion events, deduplicated pixels, and a documented measurement plan before every launch.
  • Read your own dashboards. Pull your own cuts in Looker, Tableau, or the warehouse. Translate ROAS, CPA, CTR, CPC, and CPM into LTV, CAC, payback, and contribution margin for leadership.

Creative Testing & Iteration
  • Run a continuous testing engine on ad copy, hooks, static and video creative, thumbnails, and landing-page pairings. Weekly at minimum.
  • Brief the Creative team with precision: performance data, competitor references, hypothesis, format specs, clear success metrics. Own the feedback loop.
  • Beat creative fatigue proactively. Track CTR decay, frequency, and cost curves per creative and rotate before performance drops.

Growth Strategy & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Recommend channel-mix strategy and monthly budget shape. Bring a point of view on where the next incremental subscriber comes from cheapest.
  • Support upper-funnel media planning, measurement, and testing, including YouTube, connected TV, and select traditional/OOH tests when the business case is there.
  • Partner cleanly with the Lifecycle Marketing & CRM Manager, the Growth Experimentation Manager, and the Head of Web so paid, on-site, and lifecycle feel like one continuous conversation to the member.
  • Run competitor intelligence (Meta Ad Library, TikTok Creative Center, SEMrush, SimilarWeb). Know who is winning in the category and what we should steal, remix, or beat.

Required Qualifications (Both Levels)
  • Hands-on paid media experience directly planning, buying, and managing full-funnel paid campaigns across paid search, paid social, and paid video, preferably at a consumer subscription, marketplace, mobile-first, or dating/social platform.
  • Deep, in-the-tool fluency in Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager. Direct hands-on experience with at least one of TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, or LinkedIn is expected; multiple is a strong plus.
  • Tracking and analytics expertise. Working knowledge of GTM, GA4, server-side tracking, and CAPI setups. You have built these yourself, not just consumed the output.
  • Strong analytical fluency. Comfortable in Excel/Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling) and in Looker, Tableau, or the warehouse to pull your own reads. SQL is a strong plus.
  • Ready to run on day one. You can audit an existing ad account, identify what is misstructured or wasteful, and ship a better-instrumented campaign in week one.
  • AI fluency. You already use ChatGPT, Claude, or similar in your daily workflow to generate ad copy variants, brief creative, analyze account performance, and replace work you used to do by hand. If someone has to explain to you why AI matters, this role is not for you.
  • Operator's discipline. You ship on time, your QA is tight, your naming is clean, and you document what you did.

Level & Experience
Paid Media Specialist
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on paid media experience.
  • Proven ownership of monthly ad spends in the $100K to $250K+ range across a mix of channels.
  • Owns execution end-to-end across the channels above with strong optimization and testing instincts. Contributes to channel-mix and budget-shape conversations with the Director.

Sr. Paid Media Specialist
  • 5 to 8+ years of hands-on paid media experience, ideally including time at a consumer subscription business, DTC brand, or top performance agency.
  • Proven ownership of monthly ad spends of $500K+ across a mix of channels, with measurable results scaling spend while holding or improving CAC and payback.
  • Owns both execution and strategy. Drives channel-mix and budget-shape recommendations, brings a point of view on where the next $100K of spend should go, and can defend it to the Director and CMO.
  • Mentors and reviews. Sets the bar for account structure, tracking hygiene, and creative testing standards across the team. Comfortable being the go-to reviewer as the paid function scales.
  • Experience with at least two of: programmatic DSP, connected TV, incrementality testing, geo holdouts, or MMM.

Preferred (Both Levels)
  • Experience inside a consumer subscription business or a top consumer/DTC agency, with a track record scaling spend while holding CAC and payback.
  • Google Ads and Meta Blueprint certifications, or equivalent demonstrated proficiency.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-driven media buying, creative generation, and optimization tools.

Compensation
  • Base salary: $70,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and level. The lower half of the band anchors the Paid Media Specialist level; the upper half anchors the Sr. Paid Media Specialist level.
  • Full-time, exempt, fully remote within the US.
  • Health, dental, vision, 401(k), and a standard benefits package.
  • Clear advancement path as channel ownership and budget scope grow.
