Job description

Customer Service Representative - Call Center (Remote)

AAA East Central is looking for a customer-focused Member Service Counselor to join our remote Member Service Center team. If you enjoy helping people, solving problems, and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM-8:00 PM, with alternating Saturdays (No Sundays)
Pay: $18.50/hour

What You'll Do

As the first point of contact for members and customers, you'll handle a variety of service requests while creating a positive customer experience.

  • Assist with membership services, billing inquiries, and travel planning.

  • Support Driving School enrollments, scheduling, rescheduling, and program inquiries.

  • Educate members on AAA benefits, products, services, and coverage options.

  • Promote memberships, upgrades, and other AAA products when appropriate.

  • Provide travel information, including routes, directions, mileage, accommodations, and road conditions.

  • Prepare TripTiks and utilize available resources to address member needs.

  • Resolve customer concerns with professionalism and escalate complex issues when needed.

  • Accurately document customer interactions and process requests in company systems.

  • Support training activities and assist during peak service periods.

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Proficiency with Windows-based computer applications and a typing speed of 30+ words per minute.

  • Ability to successfully complete required Member Service Counselor training and assessments.

  • Experience in customer service, call center operations, scheduling, registration, or enrollment processes.

  • Geographic knowledge and map-reading skills.

  • Familiarity with AAA products and services is an asset.
