Job description

Adecco Healthcare is working with our client based in Newport Beach, CA to hire a Remote Certified Medical Coder. Hours will be Pacific Standard Time.

Hours: Monday - Friday - PST time

Type: 3-month contract - MAY be extended

Location: Remote

Pay Range: $35-$39 - DOE

Certification Required: Yes! Must have one of the following certifications:

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), Certified Coding Specialist Physician-Based (CCS-P), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA)

Responsibilities Include:

  • Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results and apply appropriate ICD-10-CM codes to support diagnoses, procedures and treatment results

  • Verify that all ICD-10-CM codes are correctly captured

  • Verify that physician is correctly abstracted

  • Stay on-top-of coding guidelines by self-study, assigned education, meeting attendance or other related in-services

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements Include:

  • HS Diploma or GED

  • MUST have a minimum of 2 years coding experience

  • MUST have OB/Gyn coding experience

  • Preference given to candidates with experience in multiple specialties

  • Clear, compassionate, and professional verbal communication

  • Ability to interact with others through phone, e-mail, and written correspondence.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $39.00 per hour
