Job description

TRA's corporate office is hiring for a full-time member of our Physician Admin Support team. In this role you will provide direct, internal support for Physicians and Radiologist throughout our TRA and Diagnostic Imaging Northwest locations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured office setting, is comfortable managing multiple phone lines throughout the day, and understands the urgency, professionalism, and precision required when directly supporting physicians and clinical teams.
Location: TRA Administrative Office - Downtown Tacoma
Schedule: (Hybrid Remote / in office work available after training period)
  • Monday: 9:30AM - 8PM
  • Thursday: 9:30AM - 8PM
  • Friday: 9:30AM - 8PM
  • Saturday: 9:30AM - 8PM

Job Summary:
The Physician Administrative Support (PAS) team member supports a fast-paced healthcare organization with high call volumes and complex administrative tasks. The radiologists rely heavily on the PAS team to coordinate time-sensitive tasks, facilitate communication between providers, and communicate critical results to referring physicians and healthcare providers in an accurate and timely manner.
This position also provides some additional administrative support to other departments within the organization. It demands a high level of professionalism and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. This position reports to the supervisor of the department, under the direction of the Physician Admin Support Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple phone lines in a fast-paced environment
  • Handle high daily call volume with professionalism and urgency
  • Coordinate communication between physicians, radiologists, technologists, and referring provider offices
  • Relay time-sensitive clinical information accurately
  • Provide direct administrative support to medical professionals
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality
  • This position supports medical professionals and provider offices - it is not primarily patient-facing.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of high-volume phone experience (medical setting preferred)
  • Experience supportingphysicians or clinical teams
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Medical terminology knowledge preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
