Work Environment

This fully remote role allows flexibility in your schedule, with options for both full-time (30+ hours per week) and part-time (5+ hours per week) engagement. As a Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor at My Light Counseling Center, you will have the autonomy to create your own hours while utilizing a user-friendly counseling platform for video-based therapy sessions, ensuring access to clients without the need for a physical office setting.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our counseling team, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing ethical and compassionate mental health counseling to adults experiencing low-acuity mental health concerns, utilizing video chat for sessions.
• Conducting ongoing assessments to evaluate client progress and needs, ensuring that treatment plans are tailored to individual circumstances.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based approaches and therapeutic techniques.
• Guiding clients in the acquisition of new coping mechanisms, problem-solving strategies, and effective communication skills to enhance their overall well-being.
• Maintaining detailed documentation of client interactions with minimal paperwork through our streamlined systems, facilitating better focus on client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A current and valid state license as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or PsyD, allowing for independent practice without supervision.
• A clean disciplinary record without any past disciplinary actions.
• Strong interpersonal skills paired with proficiency in computer use to facilitate remote counseling sessions effectively.
• A stable internet connection is essential for seamless video consultations.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with previous experience working in a remote setting, knowledge of telehealth practices, and comfort with digital counseling platforms will be highly valued. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and a genuine passion for mental health advocacy will set candidates apart.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, depending on your hours worked. Additional compensation includes:
