Remote Measurement Engineer information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Measurement Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Measurement Engineer, you need a solid background in instrumentation, data analysis, and engineering principles, usually supported by a degree in engineering or a related field. Familiarity with remote sensing technologies, data acquisition systems, and software such as MATLAB or LabVIEW is commonly required. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help you excel in troubleshooting and collaborating with remote teams. These skills are crucial for ensuring accurate measurements, reliable data transmission, and successful project outcomes in distributed or off-site environments.

What are Remote Measurement Engineers?

Remote Measurement Engineers are professionals who specialize in designing, implementing, and maintaining systems that collect and analyze data from remote locations. They utilize various technologies such as sensors, data loggers, and communication networks to monitor and measure physical conditions or performance metrics from a distance. Their work is crucial in industries like oil and gas, environmental monitoring, and utilities, where on-site data collection may be difficult or hazardous. Remote Measurement Engineers ensure the accuracy and reliability of the collected data, enabling informed decision-making and efficient operations.

Job description

Job Title: Commercial Analytics Senior Manager

Department: Marketing

Reporting to: Director of Marketing Operations & Analytics

Location: Remote

About the Role:

Greenfield is looking for a Commercial Analytics Senior Manager to join our growing team. This role owns the measurement, reporting, and analytical infrastructure across marketing and sales. You will build the reporting suite, define KPIs and targets, and deliver the analytical models that connect marketing and sales activity to revenue outcomes. This is a hands-on, technical role that is equally comfortable building a semantic model in Fabric as presenting attribution results to senior leadership.

This is a marketing-start up within a 35-year-old company rich with history, culture and deep values. This role requires an individual who is comfortable in an adapting, growing environment in the middle of exciting digital transformation.

Who We Are:

Since 1989, Greenfield Global has been the leading producer and supplier of high-purity alcohols, specialty solvents, custom blended solutions, and fuel ethanol to businesses worldwide.

Greenfield’s primary markets are life science (including pharma/biopharma and medical devices), food, flavor, fragrance, personal care, beverage alcohols, industrials, and renewable fuels. Annually, the company fulfills over 35,000 orders in more than 50 countries through its extensive global supply chain.

Greenfield’s low-carbon ethanol helps industries reduce their carbon emissions and meet environmental objectives. Our team of researchers and engineers continue to lead innovation in sustainable energy and chemicals, including green hydrogen, green methanol, sustainable aviation fuel, and renewable natural gas.

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting & Measurement
  • Own the commercial analytics function: design, build, and roll out reporting suites and dashboards in Power BI for stakeholders across marketing, sales, operations, and finance.
  • Define and govern targets, goals, and KPIs across marketing and sales, proactively identifying new measurement opportunities that connect directly to revenue outcomes.
  • Present results and recommendations to senior leadership with clear, compelling data storytelling.
Analytics & Modeling
  • Develop and operationalize analytical models including attribution, segmentation, CLTV, churn/retention, lead scoring, predictive analytics, and causal inference.
  • Design and execute A/B testing and experimentation programs with appropriate statistical methodology.
Data Infrastructure & Governance
  • Build and maintain semantic models and data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric and/or Databricks, connecting CRM, marketing automation, ecommerce, and third-party data sources.
  • Manage data quality, hygiene, and governance across CRM and marketing automation platforms throughout the sales funnel.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Communication
  • Partner with stakeholders across marketing, sales, operations, and finance to translate business questions into analytical workstreams and ensure outputs are actionable.
  • Align measurement frameworks and KPI definitions with marketing and sales leads to ensure shared accountability for targets.
  • Train and enable non-technical stakeholders to self-serve on dashboards and interpret reporting outputs.

Your Experience Should Include:

  • Technical & Analytical
    • 7+ years in commercial analytics, marketing analytics, revenue operations, or a related quantitative discipline.
    • Proficient in Python or R and SQL, with experience across structured and unstructured data formats.
    • Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric and/or Databricks for big data processing, data engineering, and analytics workloads.
    • Skilled in building semantic models, data models, and ETL/ELT pipelines at scale.
    • Proficient in Power BI and PowerQuery for dashboard development and reporting.
    • Familiar with DevOps practices including version control, CI/CD, and environment management.
    • Demonstrated use of AI tools to enhance analytical productivity.
    • Proven experience operationalizing models including marketing attribution, customer segmentation, churn/retention, CLTV, and lead scoring.
    • Experience designing and executing A/B tests and experimentation programs with statistical rigor.
    • Exposure to marketing mix modeling, predictive analytics, causal inference, or demand/pipeline forecasting is a plus.
    Business
    • Experience designing, building, and rolling out reporting suites and KPI frameworks across marketing, sales, operations, and finance in a B2B environment.
    • Direct exposure to marketing and sales platforms (CRM, marketing automation) and their underlying data structures (Dataverse, Salesforce Objects)
    • Track record presenting analytical results to senior leadership with a focus on business impact.
    • Experience in industrial, chemical, life sciences, energy, or related sectors is strongly preferred — comfort with technically complex subject matter is essential.
Who You Are
  • A disciplined individual: demonstrates strong soft skills in communication, problem-solving, accountability, adaptability, and professionalism.
  • A data storyteller: translates complex analytical outputs into clear, actionable narratives for senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proactive by default: identifies opportunities for analysis and new KPIs before being asked, connecting analytical work directly to revenue impact.
  • Intellectually curious:  understands business context before building models, enjoys cross-functional partnership, and gains consensus on measurement approaches impacting the business.
  • A natural educator who leads with empathy and active listening, bringing clarity to complex analytics across technical and non-technical audiences.

Total Compensation & Care:

  • Base salary dependent on experience and demonstrated performance
  • Formal and informal training opportunities
  • Comprehensive health and dental benefits
  • Income protection: short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, paid personal sick time
  • Vacation time exceeding industry standards
  • Company funded retirement savings program with individual contribution opportunities
  • Meaningful and challenging work
  • Curated intentional culture focused on growth and development, engagement, and communication
