A Remote MBA Leadership Development Program is a structured training initiative designed for MBA graduates or students to develop leadership and management skills, often while working remotely. These programs typically combine rotational job assignments, mentorship, and leadership training sessions delivered online. Participants gain hands-on experience in various business functions, preparing them for future leadership roles within an organization. Remote formats offer flexibility and access to global opportunities, making them suitable for individuals who prefer or require remote work arrangements.

To thrive in a Remote MBA Leadership Development Program, candidates typically need a strong academic background (often an MBA or equivalent), analytical thinking, and demonstrated leadership potential. Familiarity with project management tools, virtual collaboration platforms, and business analytics software is often expected. Exceptional communication, self-motivation, and adaptability are vital soft skills for excelling in a remote and dynamic environment. These qualities enable participants to lead diverse teams, drive strategic initiatives, and grow as effective leaders in a global business landscape.

Job description

The Opportunityย

Momentum is transforming how we operate, make decisions, and create value across our portfolio. As our MBA Summer Associate, Strategy & Operations, you'll work directly with senior leadership on high-impact initiatives that shape the future of the business. This is an MBA internship taking place in summer 2027.

This isn't a traditional internship or a support role. You'll help solve complex operational challenges, develop strategic recommendations backed by rigorous analysis, and drive initiatives from concept through execution. By improving core business processes, your work will have a measurable impact.

You'll leave the summer with meaningful ownership, exposure to executive leadership, and tangible accomplishments that extend well beyond a typical internship experience.

What You'll Do

Projects will be defined and scoped collaboratively, but will draw from areas like:ย

  • Identifying opportunities to improve business processes and leading small-scale operational improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting enterprise transformation initiatives by tracking milestones, managing risks, and coordinating across multiple functional teams.
  • Analyzing complex data sets and translating insights into clear, executive-ready presentations and recommendations.
  • Conducting market and competitive research to inform strategic planning and investment decisions.
  • Developing dashboards and reporting tools that improve visibility into business performance.
  • Facilitating working sessions and stakeholder meetings to align teams around key initiatives.
  • Working cross-functionally with leaders across Finance, Operations, Technology, HR, and Portfolio Companies to drive execution.
Qualifications

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is currently enrolled in a full-time MBA program and graduating between December 2027 to June 2028.
  • Has experience (or a strong interest in) designing and prototyping AI-driven workflows that reduce friction and improve team efficiencyย
  • Enjoys solving ambiguous business problems using data, structured thinking, and practical execution.
  • Is comfortable balancing strategy development with hands-on implementation.
  • Can communicate complex analyses clearly through presentations, storytelling, and executive-ready materials.
  • Thrives in collaborative environments and can build relationships across multiple teams.
  • Has a GPA of 3.5 or above.

Is based in or willing to relocate to Dallas for the summer (full-time, five days per week on-site).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or business operations.
  • Proficiency with Excel and experience working with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
  • Experience working with AI and automation tools such as ChatGPT, ClaudeCode, PowerAutomate
  • Experience leading process improvement or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and cross-functional program execution.
