We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Greater Lakes Behavioral Health. In this full-time role, you will engage remotely with clients, providing therapeutic support and mental health services tailored to individual needs. This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a high standard of care. Regular communication with colleagues, including psychiatrists and psychologists, ensures that our clinicians are equipped to provide the best possible care. The work schedule includes Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs.

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments of clients, employing evidence-based practices and solution-focused interventions to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Implement various therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other modalities tailored to the unique needs of clients.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies, to safeguard client privacy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to orchestrate holistic care, engaging in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to enhance service delivery.
• Educate clients and their family members about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, empowering them on their journey of recovery.
• Stay informed about the latest research developments in mental health and integrate best practices into therapeutic techniques to continuously improve client care.

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client population facing a variety of mental health challenges. The focus will be on fostering resilience and personal development through direct engagement and individualized treatment strategies.

• A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Must hold an active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
• Demonstrated understanding of solution-based psychotherapy interventions and methods aimed at providing effective, client-centered care.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and their families.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to navigate complex client situations and adapt treatment strategies accordingly.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, supporting a culture that values collective contributions and learning opportunities.

• Prior experience working in a community health clinic or similar environment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document clinical progress and treatment plans effectively.
• Engagement in continuous professional development, evidenced by attendance at workshops, seminars, or additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques.
