Our ideal candidate is committed to a holistic approach to therapy, emphasizing evidence-based techniques and personalized care to foster client empowerment and recovery.

About the Organization

Greater Lakes Behavioral Health is a prominent provider of mental health services, dedicated to improving the lives of individuals through compassionate care. Our practice specializes in outpatient services, where we work collaboratively with clients to address their unique mental health needs. We pride ourselves on our team of licensed therapists who bring a wealth of experience and a shared commitment to enhancing individual well-being.

As a remote outpatient facility, Greater Lakes Behavioral Health offers a supportive and comfortable work environment that prioritizes confidentiality and collaboration. We leverage modern technology to facilitate teletherapy sessions, ensuring that our clients have access to the care they need, regardless of their location. Our team of professionals is dedicated to creating a workspace that encourages open communication and a shared passion for mental wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of new clients to gather information about their mental health history, symptoms, and treatment needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to each client’s goals and preferences.
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions via teletherapy, ensuring that clients feel supported and understood throughout their treatment journey.
  • Monitor client progress towards therapeutic goals, adjusting interventions as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and progress notes, adhering to ethical and legal standards to ensure client confidentiality.
  • Participate in regular supervision and consultation meetings with peers to foster professional growth and enhance therapeutic skills.
  • Engage in continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices and emerging trends in mental health.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our therapists work with a diverse clientele, including individuals coping with trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. We emphasize a client-centered approach that respects each individual's unique experiences and therapeutic needs, providing a safe space for healing and personal growth.

Qualifications
  • A current and valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to use empathy, compassion, and active listening skills to build strong therapeutic relationships.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, essential for enabling effective client interaction and collaboration.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of juggling a full caseload while providing outstanding care.
Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with experience in teletherapy, crisis intervention, or multicultural counseling are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a plus, as is previous work in outpatient settings.

We offer a competitive salary range from USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload. In addition to financial compensation, our benefits package includes:
