What will you be doing in this role:

The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions that support business objectives while ensuring efficient performance and scalability of the ServiceNow platform. This role involves hands-on development across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including conception, design, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ServiceNow development, integration, and administration, enabling them to build efficient and scalable solutions that align with business requirements. They will work on both new and existing applications, perform hands-on development, and contribute to architectural decisions. 

  • Design, configure, and develop custom applications and workflows within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Customize ServiceNow forms, fields, business rules, workflows, UI policies, and UI actions.
  • Implement and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems using REST, SOAP, or other APIs.
  • Perform platform upgrades, patches, and module deployments.
  • Monitor the health, usage, and overall compliance of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and collaborators to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum processes to deliver incremental improvements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system design, configuration, and user guides.

Experience Requirements:

Three (3) plus years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer

Demonstrable experience in configuring and customizing modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, or SPM.

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Glide scripting.

Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integration tools like Integration Hub.

Solid grasp with ITIL processes and frameworks.

Expertise in system performance tuning.

Educational/Certification Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED required.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Mathematics or related discipline, preferred.

Certified ServiceNow Administrator. (preferred)

ITIL v3 Certification or equivalent practical experience preferred.
