Job description

Summary
You will serve as a MATERIALS HANDLER in the MATERIAL READINESS BRANCH of MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO.

Duties
Help
  • You will be responsible for the up-keep and maintenance of warehousing equipment and oversee daily operations of the warehouse.
  • You will be responsible for operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery.
  • You will perform a variety of technical support duties related to maintaining property accounts and records, completing individual transactions, screening reference files, conducting data searches, and distributing output files.
  • You will resolve problems by applying regulations and precedent actions, and other general guidelines.
  • You will monitor, review shipping/delivery documents, and assist in the delivery of materials for the command and command-based customers, who have requested materials.
  • You will assist in unloading/loading incoming and outgoing shipments delivered or shipped to sources of supply/vendors; verifies, reviews, and signs the accompanying documents for accuracy.
  • You will prepare reports for supply discrepancies reflecting findings and corrective actions.

  • You will be required to climbing, stooping, kneeling, bending, carrying items that weigh more than 50lbs, and operating heavy equipment.
