Remote Marketing Executives are professionals who plan, develop, and oversee marketing campaigns and strategies for businesses while working from a location outside the traditional office environment, often from home. They handle tasks such as market research, digital advertising, social media management, and campaign analytics using online tools and platforms. Working remotely, they collaborate with team members and clients through virtual meetings and digital communication channels, ensuring effective marketing outcomes regardless of their physical location.

Job description

Onda + Stroudinc | Sales Executive (eCommerce Marketing) - 100% Remote (US/Canada preferred; South Africa considered)About the Role
Stroudinc and Onda are sister eCommerce businesses, founded to serve the same type of operator from two complementary angles: strategy and execution.
Stroudinc is a focused eCommerce consultancy that works directly with founders and leadership teams to diagnose what's limiting growth, pressure-test strategy, and define a clear, actionable roadmap across acquisition, marketing, and operations.
Onda is a full-service eCommerce marketing agency led by Chris and a team of senior Fractional CMOs. Onda partners with brands that want experienced, operator-level leadership and hands-on execution across performance marketing and growth.
We're hiring a Senior Sales Executive to own high-intent, consultative sales conversations across both brands. This is a call-forward role where you'll speak directly with eCommerce founders and senior marketing leaders, uncover real business problems, and close new engagements. You'll be trusted to represent both brands with founder-level judgment and credibility in every conversation.
This role is designed for an experienced seller who has already proven they can close complex eCommerce marketing deals, earn trust quickly with operators, and sell based on insight rather than tactics alone.
Location: 100% Remote - U.S. or Canada preferred; South Africa considered (must have reliable overlap with North American business hours)
Reporting to: Head of Sales / Revenue Lead
Type: Full-time (Contract or Employee, depending on location)
What You'll Do
  • Own high-intent sales conversations (Google Meet video calls) with eCommerce founders and senior marketing leaders, from first discovery call through close
  • Diagnose the prospect's growth constraints (e.g., CAC, ROAS, conversion rate, retention, creative fatigue) and recommend the right solution(s) and fit for our services.
  • Lead consultative, strategy-driven sales discussions that diagnose business challenges and align prospects to the right engagement (Stroudinc, Onda, or a combined approach
  • Present and sell eCommerce marketing solutions such as:
    • Paid Advertising (Meta/Google/TikTok/etc)
    • Email/SMS
    • CRO/landing page optimization
    • Web Development
  • Qualify opportunities rigorously across budget, authority, timing, and fit-protecting delivery teams from poor-fit clients.
  • Close new business consistently against provided inbound and warm opportunities (no cold prospecting or outbound hunting required)
  • Clearly communicate scope, value, and expectations to ensure strong handoffs to consulting and delivery teams
  • Partner closely with founders, VP of Sales, and senior operators to refine positioning, messaging, and offer clarity based on real market feedback.
  • Maintain accurate deal status and notes in the CRM, with sales operations and coordination handled by internal support teams
  • Participate in continuous improvement of the sales process, including discovery frameworks, qualification standards, and objection handling
  • Represent both brands with professionalism, credibility, and sound judgment in every client interaction

This role is intentionally focused on selling-lead generation, scheduling, proposals, and backend coordination are handled by internal teams so you can spend the majority of your time on high-quality conversations and closing.
Who You Are
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a closing role selling eCommerce marketing services (agency) and/or eCommerce marketing technology (MarTech / SaaS)
  • Strong preference for experience selling into DTC and eCommerce brands
  • Demonstrated success closing deals over calls, with clear evidence of quota attainment, revenue closed, or consistent performance
  • Highly consultative seller who can run structured discovery, identify root business challenges, quantify impact, and guide buying decisions
  • Comfortable discussing core eCommerce metrics, including AOV, LTV, CAC, ROAS, retention, and contribution margin
  • Clear, confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills for follow-ups, proposals, and call recaps
  • Professional, personable, and easy to talk to-you build rapport quickly and make complex topics feel approachable
  • Able to sell thoughtfully and persuasively without relying on scripts or high-pressure tactics
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple active deals without losing momentum or detail
  • Polished, confident phone presence with strong interpersonal instincts
  • Experience selling monthly retainers in the $3k-$30k+ range
  • Working knowledge of the eCommerce and performance marketing ecosystem, including but not limited to::Shopify, Klaviyo, GA4, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Ads
  • Comfortable working with remote, globally distributed teams across time zones
  • Prior experience in a fast-growing agency, consultancy, or performance-driven environment
  • Hours: Must be able to cover a meaningful overlap with North American business hours (at least 4 hours/day overlapping with ET or PT; exact schedule depends on location).
  • Tools: HubSpot, Slack, Google Workspace, Asana, DocuSign, Calendly and more
What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days
First 30 Days

  • Build strong working relationships with the founders and senior delivery teams
