Job Title: Marketing Specialist

ROLE SUMMARY:  

The Marketing Specialist supports the execution and optimization of state-level marketing initiatives by delivering actionable insights, managing cross-functional coordination, and ensuring effective partner collaboration. Reporting to the State Marketing Manager, Georgia, this role is responsible for analyzing competitive trends, evaluating promotional performance, supporting third-party brand partnerships, and monitoring customer sentiment to inform data-driven decision making. This role is highly collaborative and analytical, serving as a key support function that enables the broader marketing team to drive performance, enhance customer experience, and maintain competitive positioning. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and comfortable working with data to uncover insights that inform marketing strategies. This role will support the Georgia market.  

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Competitive Intelligence & Market Insights: 

  • Conduct ongoing analysis of the competitive landscape, including pricing, promotions, product assortment, and marketing tactics.  

  • Develop and maintain regular competitive reporting (weekly/monthly) with clear insights and actionable recommendations.  

  • Partner with internal teams to translate competitive intelligence into strategic considerations for promotions and campaigns.  

  • Promotional Performance & Data Analysis: 

  • Partner with the Data & Analytics team to evaluate promotional effectiveness, including lift, ROI, customer engagement, and traffic-driving metrics.  

  • Support the development and distribution of post-campaign reporting, highlighting key learnings and optimization opportunities.  

  • Assist in maintaining reporting frameworks and dashboards to track performance across key initiatives.  

  • Ensure insights are clearly communicated to marketing, retail, and leadership stakeholders. 

Third-Party Brand Management Support: 

  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for select third-party brand partners, supporting execution of joint marketing initiatives and product launches.  

  • Coordinate with Brand Marketing, Procurement, and Retail teams to ensure alignment on brand activations and promotional support.  

  •  Track and report on brand partner performance, including promotional participation and ROI. 

  •  Assist in ensuring brand standards and messaging are executed consistently across channels. 

 Customer Sentiment & Experience Insights   

  • Partner with the Customer Experience (CX) team to monitor customer sentiment across surveys, reviews, and feedback channels.  

  • Analyze trends in customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness and in-store experience.  

  • Support the development of regular customer insight reporting for marketing and cross-functional teams.  

  •  Elevate key customer insights that may impact promotional strategies, product offerings, or messaging.  

Cross-Functional Coordination & Execution Support:  

  • Support the Senior State Marketing Manager in the execution of promotional calendars and key marketing initiatives.  

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Retail, Digital, Creative, Brand, and Operations to ensure alignment and timely execution.   

  • Assist in gathering and organizing campaign assets, timelines, and deliverables.   

  • Support marketing activations, events, and key business moments as needed.  

  • Operational Excellence: 

  •  Maintain organized documentation of reports, insights, and campaign performance.  

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.  

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.  

  • Represent the brand in a professional and positive manner.  

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or related field required.   

  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing, analytics, or related field.  

  • Strong analytical mindset with experience interpreting data and translating insights into recommendations.  

  • Experience working with performance metrics, dashboards, or reporting tools.  

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.  

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.  

  • Effective communicator with the ability to present insights clearly and concisely.  

  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally across departments.  

  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data visualization or project management tools is a plus.  

  • Cannabis experience a strong plus.  

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.  

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a clear driving record.  

  • Must be able to pass all required background checks and screenings.  

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.  

  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and strong work ethics.  

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance  

  • Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks  

  • Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions  

  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)  

WORK SCHEDULE: 

  • 45+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on store needs. Must be available to work on occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
