Account Manager – Semiconductor Equipment (Customer Success & Growth)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to lead strategic customer relationships within the semiconductor equipment industry. This role is responsible for driving account growth, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and serving as the primary interface between customers and internal engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex technical accounts in a high-tech or capital equipment environment, with a strong ability to translate customer needs into actionable internal deliverables.

Please note that you must live in the San Francisco Bay Area to be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Customer Success

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customer accounts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and responsiveness
  • Participate in customer business reviews, meetings, and ongoing support activities

Sales Growth & Business Development

  • Drive revenue growth within existing accounts through strategic account planning
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned customers
  • Develop account strategies to support expansion across multiple facilities and business units

Customer Communication & Coordination

  • Act as the voice of the customer within the organization
  • Communicate customer requirements, initiatives, capacity needs, and technical requests to internal teams
  • Ensure all customer commitments and action items are tracked and completed in a timely manner

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and factory teams to resolve customer issues
  • Coordinate solutions across multiple internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution
  • Support customer visits, factory tours, and audit activities at manufacturing sites

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Provide accurate revenue forecasts and account updates to leadership
  • Deliver regular status reports on account performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Identify trends and areas for improvement in sales execution and customer engagement

Project & Leadership Support

  • Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by management
  • Assist in improving internal processes that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Account Management, Sales Engineering, or Customer Success in a technical industry
  • Semiconductor, capital equipment, or high-tech manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Strong ability to manage complex enterprise or global customer accounts
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering and operations teams
  • Ability to travel to customer and factory sites as required

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing equipment or related technology sectors
  • Understanding of production, capacity planning, or technical manufacturing workflows
  • Strong forecasting and pipeline management experience
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, global customer environment
