Remote Managed Service Provider information

What is a remote managed service provider?

A Remote Managed Service Provider (MSP) is a company or team that remotely manages a business's IT infrastructure and end-user systems. MSPs handle tasks like network monitoring, cybersecurity, data backup, and technical support, all from an offsite location. This allows businesses to focus on their core operations while experienced professionals maintain and secure their technology. Remote MSPs typically offer their services on a subscription basis, providing proactive support and minimizing downtime.

How does a remote managed service provider typically collaborate with client IT teams to ensure seamless service delivery?

Remote Managed Service Providers (MSPs) work closely with client IT teams through regular communication, ticketing systems, and scheduled virtual meetings to align on goals, resolve issues, and implement new technologies. They often use remote monitoring and management tools to proactively detect and address problems, minimizing downtime for clients. Successful collaboration involves clear documentation, shared protocols, and frequent updates, ensuring both the MSP and client teams are informed and responsive. Building trust and maintaining transparency are key to fostering strong partnerships and achieving seamless service delivery.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote managed service provider, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Managed Service Provider, you need strong IT troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of network and system administration, and relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE). Familiarity with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools, ticketing systems, and cybersecurity solutions is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills help professionals coordinate with clients and resolve issues efficiently. These abilities are critical for delivering reliable support, maintaining system uptime, and ensuring client satisfaction in a remote environment.

Do you thrive on building lasting client relationships and becoming the trusted person clients rely on?
Do you enjoy working with business owners, solving problems, and ensuring every client receives an outstanding experience?
If you have experience working for an IT Managed Service Provider (MSP), this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
EVERNET Consulting is a growing IT Managed Services & Marketing firm looking for an experienced Client Success Manager to become the primary point of contact for our clients after onboarding. You'll work alongside our IT and Marketing teams to ensure every client receives exceptional service while helping strengthen long-term partnerships that drive our continued growth.
• Experience with Autotask PSA is highly preferred. Candidates with Autotask experience, MSP account management, client success, service coordination, or billing experience are especially encouraged to apply.
This is a 100% remote, part-time position with a clear path to becoming full-time as our company continues to grow.
If you enjoy talking with clients, coordinating with technical teams, keeping accounts organized, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks-you'll fit right in.
What You'll Do
As our Client Success Manager, you'll serve as the trusted advisor for your assigned clients, ensuring they receive exceptional service while coordinating closely with our IT and Marketing teams.
You'll build relationships, oversee account health, coordinate billing communications, conduct regular business reviews, identify growth opportunities, and help ensure our clients continue to view EVERNET as a trusted long-term partner.
Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts
  • Build strong, long-term relationships through proactive communication
  • Conduct regular client check-ins, account reviews, and business reviews
  • Coordinate service requests with our IT and Marketing teams
  • Ensure projects and ongoing services stay on track
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and strengthen client partnerships
  • Resolve concerns quickly while delivering an outstanding client experience

Billing & Account Coordination

  • Follow up on invoices and outstanding balances
  • Coordinate billing adjustments with internal departments
  • Help clients navigate payment portals and billing processes
  • Review delivered services to help ensure accurate invoicing
  • Perform vendor reconciliations with exceptional attention to detail

Service Quality & Team Collaboration
  • Review ticket quality and documentation
  • Maintain detailed notes within Autotask PSA and other business systems
  • Collaborate with technicians, marketing specialists, and leadership
  • Help improve internal processes and client satisfaction
  • Represent EVERNET professionally in every interaction

What We're Looking For
Required
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
  • Professional and confident phone presence
  • Comfortable speaking with clients throughout the day

  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts and priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and follow-through
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently from home
  • Dedicated, distraction-free home office

Preferred

  • Client Success or Account Management experience
  • Marketing agency or digital marketing experience
  • Autotask PSA experience
  • QuickBooks experience
  • Experience with ticketing systems and PSA platforms
  • Microsoft 365 experience
  • Familiarity with managed IT services
  • Experience supporting law firms, healthcare organizations, accounting firms, financial institutions, or other professional service businesses

This Position Is Perfect For Someone Who...
  • Loves building long-term client relationships
  • Enjoys being the trusted "go-to" person clients ask for by name
  • Takes ownership and follows through
  • Likes staying organized and keeping moving parts on track
  • Wants to grow with a company instead of simply filling a role
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your work truly makes a difference
