Position Overview

BizTech Fusion is seeking an experienced Senior Redwood RunMyJobs Administrator / Platform Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Redwood RunMyJobs (RMJ), workload automation, job scheduling, workflow orchestration, and scripting.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience administering and troubleshooting RunMyJobs, developing automated workflows and batch schedules, managing integrations, and supporting enterprise-scale environments. Strong scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, KornShell, Python, or similar scripting languages is highly desirable.

Candidates with strong experience using AI/automation technologies are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Administration & Operations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for Redwood RunMyJobs (RMJ).
  • Manage and maintain job schedules, workflows, dependencies, and batch processing across enterprise systems.
  • Administer, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain the Redwood RunMyJobs platform.
  • Monitor job execution, alerts, and system performance to ensure reliability and SLA adherence.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve job failures, performance issues, and system errors.
  • Manage platform configurations, users, roles, security settings, and connectivity.
  • Apply security patches and perform regular platform updates and maintenance.
  • Provide on-call support for critical batch failures and incidents.

Automation & Workflow Development

  • Design, build, and optimize automated workflows and job chains.
  • Design, implement, and maintain batch schedules based on business and technical requirements.
  • Define execution times, job priorities, dependencies, triggers, calendars, and scheduling logic.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation.
  • Monitor job execution, resolve errors or delays, and ensure adherence to SLAs.
  • Analyze and optimize batch job performance and resource utilization.
  • Support integration of RunMyJobs with enterprise applications and data sources.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for workflows, processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

Integration & Technical Support

  • Work with application, infrastructure, data, and operations teams to support enterprise integrations.
  • Configure and manage RunMyJobs agents and connectivity across environments.
  • Support file-transfer processes, API-based integrations, and event-driven workflows.
  • Support integrations involving ETL/ELT processes and enterprise data platforms.
  • Assist with environment setup, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot CI/CD and migration-related incidents.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into automation solutions.
  • Participate in requirements discussions, technical working sessions, and testing activities.
  • Collaborate with operations and project teams to ensure reliable batch processing and enterprise integration.
  • Recommend best practices for workload automation and RunMyJobs platform usage.
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiency.
  • Document troubleshooting procedures, scheduling policies, configurations, and lessons learned.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of overall IT/software/automation experience.
  • 5+ years of direct, hands-on experience with Redwood RunMyJobs, including administration, configuration, scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of job scheduling, dependencies, workflow orchestration, and workload automation.
  • Strong scripting experience with one or more of:
  • PowerShell
  • Bash
  • KornShell (KSH)
  • Python
  • Other scripting languages
  • Experience creating, debugging, and executing scripts for batch automation and system monitoring.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of application installation, upgrades, patching, and configuration management.
  • Experience designing and maintaining batch dependencies, triggers, calendars, and execution windows.
  • Experience troubleshooting CI/CD and migration-related incidents.
  • Experience with integrations, including APIs and file-based ETL/ELT processes.
  • Experience working with mainframe systems and JobTrac.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide on-call support for critical batch failures and incidents.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on data-focused transformation or migration projects, including legacy-to-modern platform migrations.
  • Familiarity with mainframe technologies such as:
