• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the social, emotional, and environmental challenges faced by clients entering the detox program.
• Design and implement individualized service plans that set measurable goals, specific interventions, and methods for progress monitoring, adapting as needed based on client feedback and changes in circumstances.
• Provide compassionate counseling to individuals and families coping with substance use issues, facilitating coping strategies, emotional regulation, and goal acquisition.
• Deliver crisis intervention and risk assessment services, ensuring the safety and stabilization of clients in immediate need.
• Connect clients to community resources that support their recovery journey and address co-occurring life challenges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to coordinate holistic care, advocate for clients’ needs, and create seamless pathways to treatment and support.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives to elevate awareness of available resources and cultivate partnerships that enhance service delivery.
• Engage regularly in team meetings, training sessions, and case conferences to ensure the highest standard of service delivery and promote interdepartmental communication.

The clientele of our detox center comprises individuals and families challenged by substance use and related psychosocial issues. As an LCSW, you will be instrumental in offering support across various stages of recovery, fostering resilience and self-sufficiency amid often difficult personal circumstances. Your work will specifically target marginalized populations experiencing barriers to accessing care, ensuring that they receive the support needed to embark on their recovery journey.

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure in the state of Florida as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Demonstrated understanding of social and economic justice issues, including a commitment to trauma-informed care practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The capacity to build rapport and maintain trust with clients from diverse backgrounds, utilizing an empathetic and culturally-competent approach.

• Prior experience working within a social service agency or similar context, particularly in a substance use treatment environment.
• Familiarity with community resources available in the Coral Springs area and knowledge of advanced therapeutic practices.
• Engagement in continuing education related to best practices in social work and substance abuse treatment.
