Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Specialist based in Netherlands.

This role is focused on owning and evolving end-to-end data infrastructure, analytics, and reporting in a fully remote, global environment. You will be responsible for building reliable data pipelines, designing scalable dashboards, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all business-critical reporting. Acting as a key enabler of data-driven decision-making, you will work closely with engineering and business teams to transform raw data into clear, actionable insights. The environment is fast-moving and highly autonomous, requiring strong ownership, precision, and proactive problem-solving. You will also play a central role in identifying anomalies, improving data quality, and strengthening analytics systems across the organization. This is a high-impact position where your work directly influences strategic decisions and operational performance.

Accountabilities:
  • Manage and optimize end-to-end data pipelines and data warehouse systems using ETL tools such as Stitch and Google BigQuery.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reporting systems using Looker Studio to support business intelligence needs across teams.
  • Ensure accurate implementation and monitoring of Google Analytics (GA4), including event tracking, validation, and reporting consistency.
  • Execute rigorous data validation and QA processes to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and reliability of all reporting outputs.
  • Proactively monitor data flows to detect anomalies, identify issues, and implement corrective actions before they impact decision-making.
  • Develop custom, on-demand reports and analyses for cross-functional business teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering and stakeholders to improve data architecture, tracking systems, and reporting frameworks.
  • Maintain strong documentation, task tracking, and structured workflows using tools such as Trello and Slack.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in a Data Analyst, Data Specialist, or analytics-focused role.
  • Hands-on experience with data pipelines and ETL tools such as Stitch or similar, and data warehousing in Google BigQuery.
  • Strong proficiency in Looker Studio, including dashboard creation and advanced calculated metrics or reporting logic.
  • Experience with Google Analytics (GA4 preferred), including event tracking, implementation, and interpretation of behavioral data.
  • Proven ability to validate datasets, QA dashboards, and ensure end-to-end data accuracy.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to detect trends, anomalies, and actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Experience delivering custom reports and insights for cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to document work and manage tasks independently in a remote setup.
  • Strong communication skills, with responsiveness and clarity in distributed team environments.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote-first work environment with global flexibility
  • Opportunity to directly influence data-driven decision-making across the organization
  • High autonomy with ownership over end-to-end analytics and data systems
  • Access to modern data stack technologies and tools
  • Agile, low-bureaucracy environment focused on execution and impact
  • Strong emphasis on experimentation and continuous improvement
  • Collaborative global team culture across multiple time zones
  • Opportunity to build scalable analytics systems from the ground up
