Role Overview
We are seeking a Snowflake Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Architect with proven expertise in data platform architecture, migration, and optimization. The ideal candidate will hold relevant Snowflake certifications and have hands-on experience in migrating large-scale data workloads from AWS to Snowflake. This role requires strong technical leadership, solution design, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end migration of data platforms from AWS to Snowflake.
  • Architect and design Snowflake data warehouse solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Ensure best practices in performance tuning, security, and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to define requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and SME guidance on Snowflake capabilities.
  • Document architecture, workflows, and migration strategies for transparency and reusability.
  • Stay updated with Snowflake advancements and recommend improvements.

Required Qualifications
  • Snowflake certifications (SnowPro Core, Advanced Architect, or equivalent).
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering / data architecture, with at least 5+ years focused on Snowflake.
  • Proven experience in AWS-to-Snowflake migration projects.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, etc.) and integration with Snowflake.
  • Expertise in SQL, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with security, compliance, and governance frameworks in cloud data platforms.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Python, Spark, or DBT for data transformations.
  • Knowledge of BI/Analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Exposure to multi-cloud environments and hybrid data strategies.
