Job description

Real Chemistry is looking for an Account Director to join our growing Promotional Medical Education team!  

The Account Director will lead strategic client partnerships, overseeing the development and execution of healthcare marketing initiatives. This role combines strategic thinking, client relationship management, and team leadership to drive the success of peer-to-peer education programs and other brand initiatives. The Account Director will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring excellence in execution, compliance, and results-driven outcomes. 

This is a hybrid role, based in any of our US offices - New York City, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, or Indianapolis - or remotely within the US, depending on team and business needs. We are also open to remote applicants in Canada. Please note that candidates local to the Carmel, IN office are preferred. 

This role requires eastern US hours. 

What you'll do: 

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact
  • Drive strategic brand initiatives, including peer-to-peer education and channel strategy 
  • Provide data-driven recommendations and adjust strategies based on market dynamics, ROI, and competitor activities 
  • Lead the development and execution of peer-to-peer programs, including business planning and forecasting 
  • Establish metrics to measure success and incorporate learnings into future strategies 
  • Actively participate in brand planning processes and provide strategic guidance throughout project execution 
  • Manage and mentor account team members, including Account Managers, Senior Account Managers, and Associate Account Directors 
  • Set clear performance goals, provide feedback, and support professional development 
  • Forecast resources and assign staff to ensure seamless project execution 
  • Oversee project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure client satisfaction 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with medical, legal, and regulatory requirements 
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of internal processes, including SOPs and best practices 
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and new clients 

Travel: this position may require moderate overnight/weekend travel (up to 30%)

  • Proven experience in strategic planning, project and budget management preferred 
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills 

Pay Range: $100,000-$120,000
