Job Description
The Project Director is the executive owner and governor for the company's most complex, high-value, and strategically important software implementation programs. This role is accountable for managing executive-level client relationships, navigating organizational politics, managing multi-project dependencies, and ensuring the overall realization of client business value, often spanning multiple years and workstreams. The PD provides high-level guidance and oversight to the Project Managers (PMs) assigned to their programs.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Executive Governance & Reporting: Establish and chair the client-side Steering Committee meetings, providing strategic updates, managing high-level risks, and securing executive sign-off on major program milestones and funding.

Strategic Program Ownership: Define the overall program roadmap and business case for multi-year, multi-phase engagements, ensuring alignment between technical delivery and the client's long-term strategic objectives.

Complex Stakeholder Management: Navigate and resolve political or organizational blockers at the C-suite and VP level on both the client and Centric side.

Risk Mitigation: Conduct strategic reviews of individual project plans managed by PMs, proactively identifying systemic risks, resource conflicts, and commercial threats before they impact delivery.

Commercial & Financial Oversight: Oversee the consolidated program budget, manage the P&L for the entire engagement, and ensure all contract terms, change orders, and invoicing milestones are met to maximize commercial success.

Methodology Adherence: Mentor Project Managers (PMs) on applying Centric PMO methodology to extremely large-scale and non-standard project environments while ensuring core compliance standards are maintained.

Forecast: Review the budget forecast and resource allocation forecast prepared by the PMs and ensure its comprehensiveness and accuracy

Knowledge & skills requirements

Required Technical Mastery: Expert, demonstrable experience leading, multi-year, multi-stream software implementation programs. Deep understanding of financial management, revenue recognition, and program control frameworks.

Organizational Knowledge: Extensive experience successfully executing programs within complex, global enterprise client environments, particularly navigating matrixed organizational structures.

Specific Certification/Training: Advanced Program Management is strongly preferred.

Leadership/Influence: Proven executive presence and a track record of driving large-scale change, influences strategies and securing commitments from senior, often resistant, stakeholders

Top Success Criteria

Program Success: Achieve executive sign-off on the final Program Completion Certificate and successful realization of the original business value proposition.

Program Profitability: Maintain the overall contracted program with initial budgeted parameters

Reference ability: Secure the customer as a reference for Centric

Process Compliance: Coach the PM to ensure that the project passes all internal project audits demonstrating adherence to PMO documentation and methodology standards.


The US base salary range for this full-time position is Negotiable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The range for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary and certain positions may be offered with additional variable incentives.
