Job Description

The Project Manager will report to the Senior VDC Manager, providing project updates, risk assessments, and performance tracking. Additionally, the position will have a dotted-line reporting structure to the Team Lead, working closely to coordinate priorities with piping design and overall project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Master Scheduling & Project Oversight:

Develop and maintain the master schedule for BIM projects, ensuring alignment with project milestones and delivery timelines.

Work closely with customers, VDC teams, and internal stakeholders to maintain schedule accuracy and efficiency.

Identify and mitigate risks, bottlenecks, and schedule conflicts to optimize project execution.

Implement best practices in scheduling, forecasting, and risk management to improve workflow efficiency.

Provide weekly project updates and risk reports to the Senior VDC Manager, escalating critical issues as needed.

Project Pod Group Leadership & Coordination:

Oversee multiple project pod groups, ensuring seamless collaboration between BIM modelers and coordinators located at corporate and remote.

Ensure project pods are aligned with customer requirements, workflow priorities, and project schedules.

Guide teams on BIM coordination, scheduling best practices, and quality control to maintain high-accuracy deliverables.

Work closely with the Senior VDC Team Lead to align project priorities with overall objectives.

Participate in project meetings, presenting schedule updates, risk mitigation strategies, and timeline adjustments as needed.

Maintain dashboards, reports, and tracking systems to improve decision-making and project transparency.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

7+ years of experience in project management, scheduling, and coordination within the construction or manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of coordination, scheduling methodologies, and workflow optimization for MEP, industrial, or infrastructure projects.

Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, PowerBI, and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools).

Experience managing multiple project teams and coordinating across departments.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify risks and mitigate scheduling impacts.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to report critical project data to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
