Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs and circumstances of each client.
• Providing ongoing consultation and support for the development of pre-crisis and crisis plans, behavioral guidelines, and risk assessments.
• Documenting all client interactions and treatment processes in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Utilizing evidence-based screening tools and assessments as directed by the clinical team to ensure a proper understanding of client needs and progress.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans, enhancing the effectiveness of treatment.
• Engaging with state agencies and community partners to serve as a liaison for clients, ensuring they receive comprehensive care and resources.
• Participating actively in all licensing and accreditation processes to uphold the highest standards of practice.
• Attending professional development events, such as conferences and workshops, to enhance clinical skills and contribute positively to the agency’s reputation within the community.
• Promoting the agency’s mission and values through effective communication and partnership with local organizations and stakeholders.
• Performing any additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support organizational goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field is required.
• An Independent LMHC License in the state of Texas or the willingness to obtain a Texas license, with all licensing fees covered by the organization if you are currently licensed in another state.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experience is preferred:

• Demonstrated experience in providing counseling services in an outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and behavioral modification strategies.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
