This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to reach clients from the comfort and familiarity of your home environment. Our team operates with a strong sense of unity and support, engaging in regular virtual meetings and collaborative care planning to ensure all staff members contribute to our clients’ progress and maintain a consistent standard of excellence. While a traditional 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule is expected, some flexibility may be needed based on patient needs.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Live Freely, your day-to-day tasks will involve:

• Leading therapy sessions with individuals, couples, and families, addressing a variety of emotional and relational issues.
• Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify client needs, strengths, and treatment goals.
• Developing personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and ongoing assessments.
• Utilizing various therapeutic modalities to help clients cope with challenges, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and solution-focused approaches.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, including psychologists, social workers, and psychiatric professionals, to provide integrated and holistic patient care.
• Maintaining comprehensive and accurate documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment modifications in accordance with ethical and legal standards.

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and family dynamics. Our patient population encompasses all ages and backgrounds, with a substantial emphasis on understanding cultural and socioeconomic factors that contribute to client experiences. To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Maryland.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing clinical social work services, with demonstrable competency in therapy practices.
• Proven proficiency in diagnostic assessments, developing treatment plans, and conducting therapeutic interventions.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to establish rapport quickly with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• A steadfast commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional development in trauma-informed care and mental health equity.

While not mandatory, the following experiences are highly desirable and will distinguish candidates:

• Experience with teletherapy platforms and remote counseling.
• Specialization in a specific area of therapy, such as trauma-informed care, play therapy, or substance abuse counseling.
• Previous experience in a community health setting or similar clinical environment.
