The flexibility of our operating hours—open from 7 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week—ensures that you can tailor your schedule to meet your personal and professional needs.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Summit Behavioral Health Resources, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate the psychological needs and trauma history of patients, establishing effective treatment pathways tailored to each individual.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing trauma recovery and building resilience in clients.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support clients in processing trauma-related experiences.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to explore their experiences, develop coping strategies, and foster healing.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and integrated care services for clients.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring their immediate needs are met with sensitivity.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources, thus empowering them in their healing journey.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
• Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development, focused on the latest advances in trauma-informed care.
• Stay current with best practices and emerging research in trauma therapy to enhance the efficacy of your therapeutic approaches.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Washington.
• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, a non-judgmental approach, and compassion towards clients.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

Though not mandatory, preferred experiences include:

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling.
• Hands-on experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions that promote client resilience.
• Willingness to work with couples and adapt to varying client needs, with training provided on-site.
