Optimize Recovery Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health status through initial consultations and ongoing evaluation sessions, utilizing evidence-based screening tools and active listening techniques.
• Create individualized treatment plans that address specific psychological needs, utilizing methodologies grounded in best practices.
• Provide regular therapy sessions, employing both individual and group therapy formats to help clients process their emotions and construct effective coping strategies.
• Facilitate referrals to additional healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists, when medical evaluation and management of medications are necessary.
• Monitor client progress towards their therapeutic goals and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and evolving needs.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss case management and collaborative approaches to enhance client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this position, you will work with a diverse range of clients grappling with various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, eating disorders, and substance abuse issues. Our practice is dedicated to offering culturally aware and inclusive therapy, recognizing the unique backgrounds and experiences of each individual. The goal is to equip clients with effective tools for recovery, fostering resilience and independence.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license (such as LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) to practice therapeutic counseling in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience working with a varied patient demographic.
• Proven understanding of mental health disorders, evidenced-based therapeutic approaches, and cultural responsiveness in therapy.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, with a capacity to remain composed in challenging situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of strong therapeutic relationships.

Preferred Experience

• Experience delivering therapeutic services in an outpatient setting, preferably in a remote capacity.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to document client interactions and progress.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• A background in facilitating support groups or workshops is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
