Job Title: Senior Linux Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer

What You’ll Do

This Senior Linux Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer will own production Linux operations and infrastructure stability within a customer-facing SaaS environment. The role focuses on managing Linux systems, LAMP-based applications, security hardening, certificate lifecycle automation, and supporting a gradual AWS migration while ensuring high availability, security, and operational resilience.

Overview: Summary of Skills Hiring Managers are seeking

  • Linux system administration and production support expertise 
  • LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) operations experience 
  • Production infrastructure ownership in enterprise SaaS environments 
  • Certificate lifecycle management and automation (SSL/TLS) 
  • AWS administration, migration support, and cost modeling 
  • Infrastructure security hardening and SOC2 compliance experience 
  • WAF configuration, reverse proxies, and traffic management 
  • Incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis 
  • Monitoring and observability tools (PRTG, SNMP, OpenObserve or similar) 
  • Automation mindset and infrastructure process improvement 
  • Ability to independently manage high-risk production environments 


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and operate Linux-based production infrastructure 
  • Build, configure, secure, and maintain Linux servers 
  • Support and troubleshoot production incidents and outages 
  • Manage firewalls, SSH access, system updates, and server hardening 
  • Maintain and support LAMP-based application environments 
  • Design and implement SSL/TLS certificate automation and lifecycle management 
  • Reduce operational risk through automation and process improvement 
  • Support AWS migration planning, capacity analysis, and cost estimation 
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions across environments 
  • Support WAF integration, API traffic routing, and secure proxy configurations 
  • Ensure compliance with security frameworks (including SOC2 requirements) 
  • Execute controlled production changes with rollback and validation procedures 


Qualifications

  • Strong experience in Linux system administration in production environments 
  • Deep understanding of LAMP stack operations and troubleshooting 
  • Experience managing enterprise SSL/TLS certificate lifecycles 
  • Hands-on AWS experience (administration, migration, or cost analysis) 
  • Knowledge of infrastructure security, hardening, and vulnerability management 
  • Experience with WAFs, proxies, and secure API traffic handling 
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as PRTG, SNMP, or similar platforms 
  • Exposure to automation and infrastructure scripting practices 
  • Experience working under strict change control and production governance 
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight in high-risk environments
