• Comprehensive Patient Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ mental health needs, utilizing standardized assessment tools and your clinical expertise to inform treatment plans.
• Individual and Family Therapy Sessions: Facilitate teletherapy sessions with individuals and families to explore and address mental health concerns through established therapeutic techniques.
• Discharge Planning: Collaborate with patients to develop effective discharge plans that support continued progress post-therapy, ensuring a smooth transition to aftercare services as needed.
• Documentation Compliance: Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state regulations and clinical best practices, ensuring that all patient interactions are well-recorded and secure.
• Networking and Referrals: Assist in building a robust referral network, actively seeking opportunities to connect with potential patients and community resources that can enhance client care.
• Empathic Listening: Employ active listening techniques to foster meaningful relationships with patients, allowing them to feel understood and supported throughout their treatment journey.

Our patient population is diverse, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. As our Mental Health Counselor, you will work with clients ranging from children to adults, each presenting unique backgrounds and health histories. Your ability to create a safe space for open dialogue will be crucial in fostering trust and effective therapeutic relationships.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.

• Two or more years of experience working in various mental health settings, particularly in outpatient care, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care.
• Experience in working remotely and utilizing telehealth technologies effectively to engage with clients.
