Role: Senior CRM Configuration Lead (Veeva/Salesforce - Life Sciences)
Location: Remote (EST time)
Duration: Long term
Overview
The Senior Configuration Specialist is responsible for the design, configuration, and optimization of regulated life sciences platforms (e.g., Veeva CRM/Vault, Salesforce Health Cloud, Compliance Wire, Agile Loft). This role supports commercial, medical, and regulatory operations, ensuring systems are aligned with business processes and compliant with GxP and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead system configuration and enhancements across platforms such as Veeva CRM/Vault, Salesforce, ComplianceWire, and AgileLoft
  • Translate business requirements into scalable configuration solutions supporting commercial, field medical, MLR review, QA, and patient services workflows
  • Configure objects, workflows, validation rules, security models, and integrations within regulated environments
  • Partner with business stakeholders (Commercial Ops, Medical Affairs, Marketing, QA, Regulatory) to drive process improvements and system optimization
  • Ensure compliance with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and data governance standards
  • Support release management, deployments, and environment coordination across dev/test/prod
  • Perform impact assessments and root cause analysis for production issues and system changes
  • Collaborate with data, integration, and analytics teams (Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI) for downstream reporting
  • Develop and maintain configuration documentation, SOPs, and validation deliverables (IQ/OQ support)
  • Mentor junior resources and contribute to best practices within managed services delivery models

Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in life sciences systems configuration or CRM/platform administration
  • Hands-on expertise with Salesforce and/or Veeva (CRM, Vault, PromoMats, MedComms)
  • Experience supporting regulated environments (GxP, validation, audit readiness)
  • Strong knowledge of configuration best practices (no/low-code) vs. customization
  • Experience with MLR processes and workflows, commercial operations, or patient services systems
  • Familiarity with integration patterns (APIs, middleware) and data flows
  • Proven ability to work in onshore/nearshore delivery models and client-facing environments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce certifications (Admin, Advanced Admin, Platform App Builder) or Veeva certifications
  • Experience with Compliance Wire, Agile Loft, or similar QA/training platforms
  • Exposure to data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks) and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery models and DevOps tools
  • Prior experience in a consulting or managed services role
