A Remote Life Safety Code Surveyor is a professional who evaluates buildings and facilities to ensure they comply with life safety codes and standards, such as those set by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Working remotely, these surveyors review building plans, safety procedures, and compliance documentation, often using virtual tools and interviews rather than on-site inspections. Their work helps organizations maintain safe environments and meet regulatory requirements related to fire safety, emergency preparedness, and occupant protection.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote life safety code surveyor?

To thrive as a Remote Life Safety Code Surveyor, you need a strong understanding of NFPA Life Safety Codes, building regulations, and healthcare facility standards, usually backed by relevant certifications such as Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) or similar credentials.
