Job description

Senior Software Engineer (Frontend)
Location: US
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Level: Senior Individual Contributor
Team: Engineering
Reports to: Director of Engineering
Company
Terzo builds an AI-native enterprise data platform designed to power the commercial and financial operating system of modern companies. The platform transforms complex, unstructured enterprise data into structured, actionable intelligence used directly in operational and financial decision-making. Terzo sits at the intersection of data platforms, AI systems, and enterprise software, focusing on real production use cases rather than demos or point solutions.
The platform is built to handle enterprise-scale complexity. Terzo ingests and normalizes data from fragmented systems and documents, applies advanced AI to extract meaning, and delivers reliable, secure, and scalable capabilities customers depend on every day. Architectural decisions prioritize durability, correctness, and long-term evolution, creating a foundation capable of supporting a multi-layer AI platform over time.
Culture at Terzo centers on ownership, momentum, and craftsmanship. Engineers operate with real autonomy, take responsibility for end-to-end systems, and collaborate closely across disciplines. The team values high standards, direct communication, and continuous learning, attracting builders who want meaningful impact while helping shape the future of an ambitious enterprise AI platform.
Opportunity
Terzo is hiring a Frontend Engineer to build and own a brand-new, AI-native frontend experience powering the Terzo Intelligence Products. This role focuses on customers interactions with intelligence experiences across analytics, workflows, AI agents, and marketplace.
Engineers in this role design and build interfaces turning complex data and AI-generated insights into clear, actionable user experiences. The frontend serves as the primary decision surface for customers, enabling them to manage spend, reduce risk, improve vendor performance, and drive measurable financial and operating outcomes. The work emphasizes applied AI and experiences built for trust, clarity, and speed.
This role owns the frontend foundation, including architecture, component systems, and interaction patterns. The work involves close collaboration with product, design, and platform teams to define how AI augments human judgment and drives action in real enterprise environments. The opportunity suits builders excited to shape a new product experience from first principles.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Architect, design and implement foundational solutions for Terzo AI enterprise platform
  • Develop a new design system and component library, likely using React and a modern UI framework
  • Create AI-first user experiences across analytics, workflows, AI agents, and applications
  • Translate complex data, recommendations, and automation into intuitive, usable interfaces
  • Partner closely with product and design to define interaction patterns for AI-native workflows
  • Collaborate with backend and platform engineers to design clean API contracts
  • Establish frontend standards around performance, accessibility, and maintainability
  • Optimize frontend performance for data-dense and real-time experiences
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and product discovery sessions
  • Contribute to frontend engineering culture through mentorship and shared ownership

Success Criteria
Core Frontend Engineering Experience
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience building highly reliable, mission-critical software.
  • Extensive knowledge of JavaScript language, along with experience building Express and ReactJS applications.
  • Experience managing technical roadmap and driving organizational engineering excellence
  • Expert understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and performance optimization
  • Experience consuming APIs and collaborating closely with backend teams

Product & Experience Mindset
  • Strong intuition for usability, interaction design, and information hierarchy
  • Experience building greenfield interfaces or major product redesigns
  • Comfort translating ambiguous product goals into concrete user experiences
  • Interest in building applied AI experiences with real customer impact

Ways of Working
  • High ownership mentality with pride in product quality
  • Comfort operating in environments with evolving requirements
  • Clear communication across engineering, design, and product partners
  • Curiosity and willingness to experiment with new interaction patterns

Nice to Have
  • Experience building AI-assisted or AI-driven user experiences
  • Experience designing analytics-heavy or data-dense interfaces
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices

Why Join Terzo
  • Opportunity to build a greenfield, AI-native product experience from first principles
  • Real ownership over frontend architecture, design systems, and user experience
  • High-impact role shaping how enterprise customers interact with AI
  • Close collaboration with product, design, data, and platform teams
  • Clear runway for growth as the platform and product surface expand

Benefits & Perks
  • Competitive salary, annual performance bonus and employee stock option plan
  • 100% paid medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with employer contribution
  • Generous vacation and sick leave
  • Flexible work arrangements
  • High-quality equipment for home and office
