• Conduct detailed intake assessments and screenings to identify the mental health needs of patients, facilitating the development of individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique circumstances.
• Provide compassionate short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention for patients confronting various mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related challenges.
• Lead therapy groups and interactive workshops, focusing on themes such as coping strategies, mindfulness, and emotional regulation, to promote patient engagement and communal support.
• Collaborate with diverse hospital departments, including primary care teams and community outreach programs, to ensure a comprehensive continuum of care, fostering effective communication and care coordination.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives, such as mental health awareness campaigns and educational events, to raise awareness and reduce stigma associated with mental health challenges.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in adherence to ethical and legal standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document progress and treatment plans.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Forth Troon, you will serve a broad range of individuals, including adults, adolescents, and families, each facing their unique challenges. • Must have an active state license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required; a Master’s or doctoral degree is preferred.
• Proven understanding of the complexities and mental health issues specific to individuals seeking care at community health clinics.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with patients and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and brief therapy models that align with a community health center environment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting, manage a diverse caseload, and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Experience working within community health settings or hospitals, particularly in a counseling capacity.
• Expertise in addressing trauma, addiction, and chronic mental health conditions.
• Familiarity with integrated care models, connecting mental health services with physical health initiatives.
• Participation in community mental health programs or advocacy initiatives.
