The Genetic Selection Lead provides strategic long term genetic selection research, technology, insights and marketing direction (3 - 5 year strategy) to Innvictis Seed product strategies in order to strengthen Innvictis Seed Solutions' product portfolio.
This role will support Northern Cornbelt: North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan.
Requires a MS or PhD OR substantial experience (>20 years) in seed industry in field/research and genetic evaluation positions.
15+ years related experience and/or training
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for meeting the minimum requirements.
Requires >85% travel during growing season
Requires >70% travel in off season training and discussing key genetic characteristics of each selection
Must engage all 5 major seed genetic houses and work closely with their geneticists, breeders and biologists to identify high potential lines 3-5 years before commercialization.
Must be an effective communicator and trainer in addition to strong biological skills.
