Remote Legal Project Manager Jobs in Iowa (NOW HIRING)

The Project Coordinator will support all aspects of an ongoing federally funded project-an Education Innovation and Research (EIR) grant-to implement and evaluate a computer-delivered reading intervention (WordFlight) across grades 3-5 in approximately 80 schools and 5,000 students. Responsibilities include oversight of day-to-day project activities (e.g., participant management, fidelity monitoring protocols), administrative coordination (e.g., organizing meetings, tracking project expenses, ordering supplies, arranging travel), and communication with research partners (e.g., school sites, research team members). Travel throughout Iowa and to other states is required. 

This position is eligible for hybrid work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location. 

Specific Job Duties and Tasks:

• Oversee day-to-day project activities across all participating school sites.
• Coordinate communication with research partners, including school sites, project consortium members, and the research team.
• Manage participant tracking, enrollment, and retention across the project sample.
• Organize project meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and minutes.
• Arrange staff and partner travel for school visits, data collection, and conferences.
• Order project supplies and materials and maintain inventory across study sites.
• Implement and monitor fidelity protocols across intervention sites.
• Track project expenses against the federal budget and flag variances.
• Support data collection activities and verify procedural integrity at school sites.
• Compile project data for inclusion in federal annual performance reports and other required reporting.
• Maintain internal project tracking documentation, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Produce fidelity monitoring summaries for review by project leadership.

• Relevant experience in scholarship and research in literacy intervention, reading disabilities, professional development, and/or statistical analysis.  
• Experience with project management of school-based initiatives.

Desired Qualifications:

• PhD in special education or a related field.
• Experience writing and obtaining external funding.
• Experience with data analysis, systematic direct observation, and fidelity monitoring.
