We are actively searching for a fully remote Legal Administrative Assistant (Legal Secretary)ย to join our team in ourย New York, New York / New Brunswick, New Jersey offices. Our legal administrative assistants play a vital role on our case teams and are respected for their ideas and contributions. ย The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. Your confidence and communication skills will help you develop strong professional relationships with our team.

Requirements

Skills:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Prepare legal documents and correspondence

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  File documents in state and federal courts

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Prepare binders for attorneys and judges

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Create and save documents and emails to iManage (document management system) in accordance with firm policy

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience with obtaining documents from online court directories

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Schedule meetings and other calendar commitments

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Calendaring legal due dates in CompuLaw

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Make travel arrangements and process expense reports

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Process client disbursements and AP invoices

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Organize and maintain case files

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Supporting overall Bowman and Brooke administrative needs by assisting team members where needed

Qualifications:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Exceptional organizational and communication skills

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Exceptional computer skillsย 

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to work overtime when the need arises

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Heavy computer use

Education and Experience:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Minimum of 5+ years of legal experienceย required

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Civil Litigation experienceย required

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Knowledge of New York and New Jersey rules and procedures preferred

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Demonstrated employment stability
