Job description

Be Here. Be Great. Working for a leader in the insurance industry means opportunity for you. Great American Insurance Group's member companies are subsidiaries of American Financial Group. We combine a "small company" culture where your ideas will be heard with "big company" expertise to help you succeed. With over 30 specialty and property and casualty operations, there are always opportunities here to learn and grow.

At Great American, we value and recognize the benefits derived when people with different backgrounds and experiences work together to achieve business results. Our goal is to create a workplace where all employees feel included, empowered, and enabled to perform at their best.

The AI Adoption & Enablement Lead is responsible for the day-to-day execution and sustainment of adoption and change activities for enterprise AI initiatives, ensuring AI capabilities translate into meaningful behavior change, consistent usage, and measurable business value.

This role sits within the Enterprise AI team and partners closely with GAIG's Enterprise Organizational Change Management (OCM) organization. While Enterprise OCM provides the overarching change framework, methodology, and standards, this role is responsible for operationalizing and applying those practices specifically to AI initiatives, leading the ongoing adoption engine that supports AI at scale.

Great American's culture is built on connection, shared learning, and strong relationships. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be onsite four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core inoffice days are Tuesday-Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs. Remote applicants who are qualified may also be considered.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of enterprise AI adoption and enablement programs, translating enterprise AI strategy into repeatable execution aligned with enterprise OCM practices.

  • Shape program cadence, engagement models, and operating rhythms based on adoption outcomes and evolving AI maturity.

  • Plan, organize, and facilitate recurring adoption forums, practitioner communities, and enablement sessions that provide clear agendas, meaningful outcomes, and practical value.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for AI practitioners by providing guidance grounded in AI capabilities and enterprise use cases.

  • Track participation, engagement, and early adoption signals to identify risks, misconceptions, and knowledge gaps that require intervention.

  • Gather practitioner feedback, recurring questions, and friction points related to AI usage, then synthesize findings into clear themes and recommendations for the Core AI team and leadership.

  • Build and maintain AI enablement content and communications, ensuring materials are practical, accessible, aligned to enterprise messaging standards, and kept current over time.

  • Communicate adoption progress, risks, and successes clearly to leadership while reinforcing desired behaviors through ongoing cadence, facilitation, and practical examples rather than one-time training efforts.

  • Continuously evolve adoption programs to support enterprise needs as AI maturity, tooling, and organizational priorities change.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership, Business Administration, Communications, or related fields.

  • Six or more years of experience in change execution, enablement, program management, communications, or transformation roles.

  • Demonstrated experience applying OCM frameworks in execution-focused, embedded roles.

  • Exceptional communication skills, including experience engaging senior leaders and translating complex concepts into clear, actionable messages.

  • Ability to quickly build working fluency in AI concepts, tools, and enterprise use cases.

  • Experience running communities of practice, adoption programs, or enablement forums.

  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to drive clear outcomes.

  • Highly organized, proactive, and relationship-driven approach to work.

  • Comfortable influencing without authority in a matrixed enterprise environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting technology, digital, data, or AI adoption initiatives.

  • Demonstrated AI fluency, including familiarity with AI concepts, enterprise AI use cases, and adoption considerations.

  • Familiarity working alongside a centralized Enterprise OCM organization.

  • Exposure to formal change frameworks, such as ADKAR or Prosci, applied in a pragmatic way.

  • Experience partnering with product, platform, or AI teams during rollout and sustainment efforts.

  • Experience presenting to or working directly with executive and senior leadership audiences.
