Work Environment

This role is tailored for a remote workforce, providing the flexibility needed to balance personal and professional commitments while still delivering high-quality care. Although the majority of work is done remotely, occasional in-office collaboration may be required to facilitate team meetings and patient care discussions in our outpatient office setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that integrate the complexities of patients’ physical health conditions, such as chronic pain and substance use disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that blend psychiatric interventions with medical care to support holistic well-being.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to the needs of each patient.
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care and optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention when necessary, demonstrating strong clinical judgment to stabilize and support patients during mental health emergencies.

  • Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in accordance with applicable legal and ethical standards to ensure patient safety and compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license in New York as an LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC.
  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals who have co-occurring medical and mental health conditions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with both patients and healthcare providers.
  • The ability to maintain professional boundaries while ensuring ethical care and patient confidentiality.
