Job description

Regional Sales Director,
Stable Value Investments, National Sales
Fulltime - Remote, US
The Opportunity
MassMutual is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Director to help accelerate growth in our Stable Value Investments business. This role is ideal for a proven sales professional with deep defined contribution and stable value expertise, strong adviser and consultant relationships, and the ability to position complex capital preservation solutions in a consultative, client-focused way.
Reporting to the National Sales Director of Stable Value Investments, you will own sales growth, client retention, and market development across your region. You will partner closely with internal product, legal, contracting, and client teams to deliver tailored solutions across general account, separate account, group annuity, GIC, CIT, and custom wrap offerings.
This is an opportunity to help build and expand a dedicated Stable Value sales organization within an industry-leading franchise. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record in stable value or fixed income investment sales, established relationships in the adviser-sold DC market, and the drive to grow a specialized business with meaningful momentum.
The Team
MassMutual has nearly 50 years of stable value experience and approximately $40 billion in balances. Our team is collaborative, accountable, and focused on delivering capital preservation solutions that meet the evolving needs of institutional and adviser clients. We are building a focused sales organization to deepen our reach in the adviser-sold defined contribution market.
The Impact
As Regional Sales Director, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • Grow MassMutual stable value assets in the adviser-sold market across retirement advisers, consultants, aggregators, and plan sponsors.
  • Deliver annual sales, retention, revenue, and pipeline growth targets for your region.
  • Identify and develop new prospects by leveraging existing relationships, market intelligence, industry networks, and internal partners.
  • Consult with advisers and clients to understand capital preservation objectives and align MassMutual solutions to their needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across retirement intermediaries and plan sponsors.
  • Expand opportunities across 401(k), 457, 403(b), HSA, Taft-Hartley, and other defined contribution plan types.
  • Provide clear, consistent pipeline updates and market feedback to business leadership.
  • Travel domestically as needed, approximately 60% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of successful sales experience in stable value, fixed income, or related investment products.
  • Health & Life Insurance license, or ability to obtain one within 180 days of hire.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Travel up to 60%

Ideal Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Established adviser and consultant relationships, preferably within the stable value market.
  • Strong understanding of defined contribution plans, adviser-sold distribution, stable value products, and the competitive insurance landscape.
  • Ability to consult on complex product structures, guarantees, ratings, capital considerations, contracting, and fixed income portfolio concepts.
  • Strategic, self-directed, and highly motivated, with strong execution skills and comfort operating in a growth-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated success growing assets, revenue, and relationships in a specialized investment or retirement market.

Compensation: $125,000-$150,000 base salary range, plus sales-based compensation resulting in a total target compensation package of $400 - $430K.
