Key Responsibilities

As an Outpatient Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual and couples therapy sessions for youth, adults, and families, ensuring a client-centered approach tailored to each individual’s needs.
• Developing comprehensive treatment plans and effective case management strategies that align with each client’s recovery goals.
• Documenting client progress through timely and accurate notes in our electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
• Creating a structured appointment schedule to facilitate ongoing client engagement and maintaining an organized calendar for follow-up sessions.
• Collaborating with clients to navigate resources, providing them with the tools and support necessary for achieving long-term recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on individuals grappling with substance use disorders and mental health challenges. You will work directly with a diverse range of clients, including adolescents, adults, and families who have been referred for outpatient treatment. By employing evidence-based therapeutic practices, you will help foster a multifaceted understanding of their experiences and support their journey toward recovery.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a human service or behavioral healthcare field.
• Current LCSW licensure valid in the state of California.
• At least two (2) years of full-time, paid experience in providing treatment for chemical dependency, mental health, or adolescent treatment.
• Proven ability to maintain professional boundaries and engage with a variety of clinical presentations with sensitivity and skill.

Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with significant training or experience working with couples, as well as familiarity with billing processes and insurance claims management, will be strongly considered for this role. Your background in these areas will enhance our service delivery and client satisfaction.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time role offers an annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
