What is a remote law enforcement drone?

Remote law enforcement drones are unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) operated by law enforcement agencies to assist in surveillance, monitoring, and public safety tasks. These drones can be piloted remotely and are equipped with cameras, sensors, and other technology to gather real-time data from the air. They are used for activities such as search and rescue, crime scene investigation, traffic monitoring, and crowd control. The use of drones enhances situational awareness, improves officer safety, and can cover areas that are difficult or dangerous for personnel to access. However, their deployment is governed by strict regulations to ensure privacy and legal compliance.
