Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Advent Health Counseling Center, your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities aimed at improving clinical outcomes while adhering to our established clinical models:

  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, families, and our community of healthcare providers, ensuring transparent communication and engagement throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapies drawing from our evidence-based clinical methodologies and the Attachment-Based Family Therapy model, which encourages meaningful connections and relational healing.
  • Lead new Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and Family Support Groups to foster engagement and community among clients and their families.
  • Handle timely and comprehensive documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress updates, group notes, and discharge summaries, all compliant with clinical standards.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook, and our electronic medical records (EMR) system to accurately record and manage client information.
  • Participate in weekly treatment team and staff meetings, providing valuable insights and updates on your clients’ progress during clinical supervision and case discussions.
  • Manage your own schedule flexibly, ensuring that your therapeutic goals and tasks are met efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on client care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with adolescents and young adults, addressing a range of mental health challenges including trauma, substance abuse, eating disorders, and family dynamics. Your expert guidance will help clients navigate their experiences while fostering resilience and personal growth.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited or state-approved graduate school.
  • Must hold a Board registration (APCC, LAPC, ASW, AMFT, MHCA) or Psychologic Associate in the respective state.
  • A comprehensive understanding of individual, group, or family therapy techniques tailored to adolescents and young adults.
Preferred Experience
