Position Overview

Blue Yonder Defense Solutions (BYDS) is seeking a talented and motivated Proposal Writer to jointheteam. In this role, you will be responsible for creating compelling proposals and presentations that showcase our company and solutions to potential clients. You will work closely with the sales team and subject matter experts to gather information, understand client requirements, and create proposals that meet their needs. You will also be responsible for ensuring proposals are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development of strategic, compliant, and persuasive responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and executive proposals

  • Partner directly with Sales Leaders to shape deal strategy and tailor messaging to enterprise buyers

  • Translate technical and product inputs into clear, benefit-driven content aligned to customer pain points

  • Drive proposal timelines, coordinate cross-functional contributors, and ensure on-time submission

  • Maintain and evolve a content library, reusable assets, and proposal best practices

  • Ensure brand consistency, executive tone, and value-based positioning across all submissions

  • Continuously improve win themes, differentiators, and competitive positioning

  • Support executive summaries, solution narratives, and presentation materials for late-stage opportunities

  • Contribute to proposal process optimization, automation, and AI-assisted content generation initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of proposal writing experience in enterprise SaaS, supply chain, retail technology, or adjacent B2B environments

  • Demonstrated success supporting complex, multi-million-dollar enterprise pursuits

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills

  • Strong project management discipline with the ability to manage multiple high-priority deadlines

  • Ability to synthesize technical, financial, and operational inputs into cohesive narratives

  • Experience working directly with Sales leadership and executive stakeholders

  • Familiarity with proposal management tools (e.g., Loopio, RFPIO, SharePoint, Salesforce) preferred

  • Comfort operating in a matrixed, global organization

The annual salary range for this position is $91,111.54 - $114,888.45

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
