• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify individual patient's needs and develop personalized treatment strategies, enhancing outcomes and promoting resilience.
• Implement evidence-based interventions for clients, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and others tailored to each unique situation.
• Facilitate engaging psychoeducational and support groups to address common mental health issues, fostering a sense of community and mutual support among participants.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team, ensuring a comprehensive and holistic view of patient care through regular case discussions and coordination of treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention as necessary, offering support and guidance during mental health emergencies to stabilize patients and connect them with appropriate resources.
• Educate clients on their mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring the best practices in patient safety and confidentiality.
• Participate in continuous professional development by attending workshops, training, and team-building activities aimed at enhancing therapeutic skills and knowledge.
• Stay informed on current research and trends in mental health therapy to integrate the latest evidence-based practices into treatment modalities.

Our counselors work with a wide-ranging patient base, including individuals dealing with conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and substance abuse. We are particularly focused on using individual therapies catered to each client's personal journey while fostering a nurturing environment that encourages open communication and trust.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York is essential to practice.
• Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities, strong knowledge of mental health disorders, and proven clinical skills are crucial to succeed in this role.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team effectively.

Experience working with a diverse clientele and familiarity with outpatient mental health settings are highly desirable. Counselors with backgrounds in evidence-based practices and specific training in therapeutic modalities will find their skills particularly valuable in this position.
