Now Hiring: Home Decor and Lighting Designer at Villa & House in Allendale, NJ

Pay: This job pays $45 - $50 per hour.

Schedule: This is a full-time product design job with a flexible, work-from-home schedule. You can manage your work and personal life while staying connected with your team.


Your Role:

As a Home Decor and Lighting Designer, you will spend your day coming up with new ideas for home accessories, lighting, mirrors, and similar products. You will use CAD tools to create designs and build prototypes. You will look for inspiration from around the world and work with manufacturers to make your ideas real in a cost-effective way. You will write up details about materials and how your designs should be made. Every day, you will help Villa & House create quality products for customers who want luxury in their homes.


What Makes You a Great Fit?

  • BA or MA in industrial design, product design, or a related field
  • Portfolio showcasing design process and aesthetic sensibility
  • Complex understanding of CAD
  • Deep knowledge of production phases and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to understand criticism and adjust design accordingly
  • Knowledgeable about the interior design industry
  • Understanding of the history of furniture and current design trends
  • Ability to understand and ensure design feasibility
  • Ability to prepare detailed specifications for all products, including materials and manufacturing methods
