Kern Lake Motion Physical Therapy Services is seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor for a full-time remote position. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop tailored treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide individual counseling sessions and crisis intervention services to facilitate coping mechanisms for various mental health challenges.
  • Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions and workshops that educate patients on strategies for personal development and resilience.
  • Work collaboratively with our clinic's healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care across disciplines.
  • Participate in community outreach programs aimed at raising mental health awareness and promoting wellness initiatives.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in adherence to all legal and ethical standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with adult patients experiencing a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related illnesses. Qualifications
  • Must possess an active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required; preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s or Doctoral degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate the complexities of mental health challenges faced by patients in a community health setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effectively engaging with patients and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and brief therapy models applicable to remote counseling settings.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a remote environment is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience providing mental health services within a community health clinic or hospital setting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms is preferred.
