Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Overland Park, KS that is looking for a Junior QA Analyst for a short-term, remote, contract opportunity.
Summary:
The Junior QA Analyst will execute a wide variety of tests, report defects and test results according to the established protocol and collaborate with other departments as part of a project team. The Junior QA Analyst is also expected to support many projects simultaneously, and support after-hours tasks as required.
Responsibilities:
* QA Analyst executes functional tests and report defects
* Manages daily task schedule to address priority and timeline targets
* Reports project task status to management and project team
* Timely and accurate entry of work time into the time entry system
* Takes significant action to develop skills needed for effectiveness in current role
* As a QA Analyst, you determine the scope of testing and authors test plans
* Plans and requests resources for test execution
REQUIREMENTS:
* 2-4 years of experience working in the software development industry
* Experience in manual testing
* Experience with SQL and relational database structures
* Understanding of SDLC
* Experience reporting test results in clear and analytical style using fact-based metrics
* Knowledge of testing methodologies and tools
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
