Job description

Overview:
Our client is looking for a Senior Digital Product Designer UX.  The designer will work closely with product owners, software engineers, business analysts, and research stakeholders to create intuitive, accessible, and efficient user experiences. This role will support two projects within our portfolio.


Responsibilities:

  • conducting user research
  • creating user journeys and workflows 
  • developing wireframes and interactive prototypes 
  • validating designs through usability testing 
  • producing high-fidelity designs and design specifications for implementation.
  • The designer will also help establish consistent design patterns across products while balancing usability, accessibility, and technical feasibility. 

Required Skills: 
  • 7+ years of professional UX/UI design experience designing complex web-based applications or enterprise software.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX process, including user research, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, interaction design, and final UI designs.
  • Experience with Figma (or comparable modern design tools) for wireframing, prototyping, and design systems.
  • Experience conducting user interviews, usability testing, and incorporating user feedback into design iterations.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Experience collaborating within Agile product teams, working closely with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present design rationale and facilitate discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience designing AI-powered, conversational, or agentic user experiences, including chat interfaces and human-AI interactions.
  • Experience designing data-intensive applications, analytics platforms, or research/scientific software.
  • Experience working in healthcare, life sciences, biomedical research, or other regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with design systems and creating reusable UI components.
  • Experience using analytics and user behavior data to inform design decisions.
  • Basic understanding of generative AI concepts and how users interact with AI assistants.
  • Experience with service design or workflow optimization.
  • Knowledge of biomedical research or clinical research workflows.
  • Experience collaborating with distributed or cross-functional teams in large enterprise organizations.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) to facilitate collaboration with development teams, though coding is not required.
