Job description

Our client is searching for an Embedded Software Developer for a temp-to-perm position that can be remote.

***All candidates must work directly for TEKsystems on a W2 basis and no sponsorship is available now or in the future***

***All candidates must have professional experience providing embedded software development using Linux, C++, and Python***

Candidates must have experience building and adopting AI-assisted engineering workflows โ€”agent-driven tooling and autonomous engineering processes โ€” that measurably improve software quality and engineering velocity.

Duties:

โ€ข   Design, develop, and maintain the engineering tools and infrastructure supporting embedded Linux development.

โ€ข   Build and optimize automated firmware build, test, packaging, provisioning, flashing, recovery, and release pipelines.

โ€ข   Develop hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and board-farm automation for firmware validation and regression testing.

โ€ข   Integrate static analysis, automated testing, and quality gates into the software development lifecycle.

โ€ข   Partner with firmware, hardware, and QA engineers to solve complex technical challenges and continuously improve engineering processes.

All candidates must submit to a drug and background check.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
