They use video conferencing tools or specialized platforms to guide individuals or groups through destinations, museums, or cultural sites, all while speaking Japanese. This role requires fluency in Japanese, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the local culture and history. Remote guides often work with international travelers or Japanese-speaking audiences who want to explore new places from the comfort of their own homes. Their work helps make travel experiences accessible to those unable to travel physically.

How does a remote Japanese speaking tour guide typically collaborate with local partners and clients to ensure a seamless virtual tour experience?

This often involves scheduling calls, sharing digital resources, and troubleshooting connectivity or platform issues in real time. Effective communication and adaptability are key, as you'll need to respond to client questions, adjust to different group dynamics, and sometimes customize content based on the audience's interests. Building strong professional relationships with local contacts also helps ensure accurate, up-to-date information and smooth logistics for each tour.

Strong communication, cultural sensitivity, and adaptability are crucial soft skills for engaging diverse audiences and handling unexpected situations. These abilities ensure engaging, informative, and seamless experiences for clients, even in a remote setting.

Job description

Position Overview

The Listening Guide Therapy is actively seeking licensed mental health professionals, specifically LMFTs, LCSWs, and LPCCs, to join our dedicated team as Remote Mental Health Therapists. This role is designed for those who are passionate about client care and wish to work in a fully remote setting. At The Listening Guide Therapy, we prioritize a structured yet flexible environment that enables our therapists to focus on what they do bestโ€”supporting individuals in their mental health journey.

About the Organization

The Listening Guide Therapy is a community health clinic based in Rancho Cucamonga, California, committed to providing accessible and high-quality mental health services to a diverse client population. With a focus on compassionate care, our team works collaboratively to ensure that each client receives tailored support that meets their unique needs. We celebrate diversity and believe in fostering an inclusive environment where every team member's contributions are valued.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing therapists to connect with clients from the comfort of their own homes. The work schedule is designed for a balanced lifestyle, with full-time hours from Monday to Friday, between 9 AM and 5 PM, and no weekend shifts required. Therapy sessions will be conducted through secure, user-friendly virtual platforms, providing both flexibility and privacy for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches to address a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship difficulties.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation, including detailed therapy notes, treatment plans, and progress reports to ensure continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create optimal treatment plans for clients, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to mental health care.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to remain current with best practices in mental health treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a wide range of clients, offering mental health support to individuals across various ages and backgrounds. We are dedicated to addressing the unique needs of the community in Rancho Cucamonga and beyond. Our therapists are expected to work with both English-speaking clients and those who may require bilingual support, enhancing access to mental health services for all.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • A valid license to practice as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC in California is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in using virtual communication tools and a strong comfort level with technology is essential.
Preferred Experience

Applicants should have a minimum of two years of professional experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably within a community health or clinical setting. Experience with diverse populations and the ability to conduct therapy in a culturally sensitive manner are highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 120,000, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • 401(k) plan with matching contributions to help you save for retirement.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance to ensure you and your family have access to necessary healthcare.
  • Life insurance options to provide peace of mind for you and your loved ones.
  • Flexible scheduling options to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Career Growth Opportunities

At The Listening Guide Therapy, we believe in investing in the professional development of our therapists. We offer ongoing training, workshops, and mentorship opportunities designed to enhance your clinical skills and advance your career. As a growing organization, there are always opportunities for leadership roles and specialized training that can lead to career advancement.

Why Join Our Team

This is an exceptional opportunity for licensed therapists who desire a structured environment with robust support while enjoying the flexibility of remote work. At The Listening Guide Therapy, we prioritize the well-being of our employees as much as our clients. By joining our team, you will become part of a compassionate community dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.
