The expected base salary range for this position is $52,470 - $81,500. This salary range may vary based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, education, and geographic location.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Associate Project Manager, DMC is responsible for planning and overseeing the day-to-day organization and operation of client projects. This role collaborates closely with statisticians, statistical programmers, and project specialists to ensure efficient project execution within contract terms, focusing on timely, high-quality deliverables. The Associate Project Manager acts as a bridge between clients, project teams, internal operations, and external vendors, and contributes to company operations by developing templates, tools, and best practice documentation for resource, budget, and deadline management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
  • Lead assigned projects as the primary project leader, providing proactive leadership.
  • Serve as the main liaison to sponsors for assigned projects/programs.
  • Ensure project tasks and deliverables are executed and tracked according to defined budgets and timelines.
  • Lead internal and external meetings, ensuring team members understand project specifications, client needs, timelines, and responsibilities.
  • Manage project-specific budgets and timelines, including revenue forecasting, monthly invoicing, and change order preparation.
  • Coordinate project team meetings, set agendas, and disseminate meeting minutes.
  • Collaborate with internal study team members to ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.
  • Maintain project management boards and record project details and deliverable metrics.
  • Compile and retain study files for sponsors.
  • Lead or participate in departmental initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience required.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSE/REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • CAPM or PMP preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 3 years of project team coordination.
  • Knowledge of drug/device study development and/or clinical adjudication processes.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of FDA, ICH, and GCP guidelines as they apply to clinical studies and clinical data management.
  • Experience in developing and managing budgets.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall responsibility of management including direction, coordination, performance, and evaluation of the assigned team and staff. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 5% - 10%
